The Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce Inc. (WACCC) is a non-profit organization.
Established in 1987, the objective of the formation of the WACCC was to address the dire need for a channel where the locals and business migrants could interact, and to champion the cause of the Chinese community. To fulfill this objective, membership open to individuals of all racial backgrounds was introduced. The system has served to cultivate a better understanding between the local and Chinese business communities, improving the environment of intolerance, suspicion and discrimination.
Today, the WACCC is dedicated to developing increased trade, investment and business activities by assisting Western Australian and Asian companies, professionals and the general public to better understand the business environment and cultural traditions relevant to successfully doing business in Australia and Asia.
